THE STAR BARN
The Gothic-Revival-style Star Barn anchors the historic landscape of Central Pennsylvania and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July of 2000. Preserving the character and materials of this iconic structure called for a specialized set of skills. King & Company installed and finished the drywall, expertly creating different finishes and textures to match the origins of the historic property. King & Company’s ability to bring together new materials with the look of “old” style ensured that the Star Barn kept its distinctive charm.
Due to the delicate nature of this project, King & Company worked closely with the property owners as well as the general contractor. The owners provided specific input on what they were looking for while King & Company offered expert direction. This kind of collaboration, though rare in the industry, defines King & Company and their commitment to building relationships.
